How does unlimited ball sort work?
Each board is made on your device the moment you ask for it, by the same generator that makes the daily puzzles. A solver checks that it can be finished and works out its par before you see it.
- From 3 to 12 colours. A board has one vial per colour and two empty vials to work with. Three colours take a minute; twelve take a while.
- Four difficulties. For each size the generator deals several boards and picks the most forgiving for easy and the most tangled for expert. So difficulty compares boards of the same size.
- Two optional twists. Clouded orbs hide their colour until they reach the top of a vial. A sealed vial stays shut until you complete another vial.
- Moves against par. Par is the shortest solution the solver found. On the largest boards you can sometimes beat it. Undo takes a move back but does not take it off your count.
- Share a board. "Share this board" copies a link that opens exactly the same puzzle, so you can compare move counts with a friend.
What are the rules?
- Tap a vial to lift its top orb, then tap the vial you want it in.
- An orb can only land on an orb of the same colour, or in an empty vial. Each vial holds four.
- Fill a vial with one colour and it is corked for good. Cork every colour to finish.
